Plated.com, a ready-to-cook, gourmet meal delivery service, will be presenting in the Tank tonight and we want to give some extra support to Plated.com’s Culinary Director, Elana Karp. No one is telling us the outcome, but if I had to guess – Kevin will want in and just take a dollar for each one sold FOREVER, Daymond doesn’t understand the food delivery business so he’ll be out, Mark Cuban doesn’t cook, Robert might be interested, but Lori will take it to QVC.
Whatever the Sharks decide, Plated.com’s business model is worth taking a look at for those of us who like to cook a nice meal, can follow a recipe and don’t have time to pick out every product. Our GIRLFRIEND OF THE WEEK’s background in Childhood Education may have influenced her easy-to-follow recipes and bright, colorful presentations, but rest assured, the meals are far from channeling nursery school snack time. 
Her expertise was earned at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris AFTER she earned her Masters in Childhood Education. Bravo to her for following her talent and passion. She continues to work with children, however. Elana has developed a culinary camp for children and managed operations for offering healthier food service to children.
